Sorry about the visuals sticking for the last few seconds of part 1… the camera was doing crazy stuff.   All sorts covered in these two, form my quitting Kurv, to what its like to finally have time off and last of all to the reality of freelancing for those starting out in 3D and the current UK laws on smoking in public. So a fair old mixed bag this time.

I’ve added a new image of a 1 hour speed sculpt done tonight mainly for relaxation, (it wasn’t meant as a serious ‘final’ sculpt by any means.) The design is based on a photo that I found on my 2nd drive of a clay sculpt, but alas I hadn’t made a note of the artist when I’d saved it, so as such I have no idea who made it or who to credit…. If you know the artist responsible please get in touch so I can credit them for the basis for the design.

I changed a few things, but the design is basically the same and should be easy to recognise for anyone who knows the artist or his work.

Yesterday I told Kurv studios that I won’t be recording any more DVD’s for them as I’ve had an offer from somewhere else that while covering ‘more than just DVD’s’  does have a cross over.   So as such I’ve had to back out of any future work for Kurv to enable me to do this exiciting project.  This also means that I won’t be taking part in the Kurv forum to offer any sort of technical support for any of my 4 DVD’s.  So if you have any technical queries etc, please either send them to Kurv via email or phone or post it in their support forum, as I can no longer take part in any correspondence.  I enjoyed my time at Kurv and will look back on them with fond memories.

There’s no deep dark secret why, it’s a simple business thing.  I can’t outline just yet what my future DVD related projects are, but they are both exciting and revolutionary and go far beyond DVD tutorials and into new uncharted areas.

But more on that once I am allowed to say a word about them.

Finally the long period of brain crumbling hard work is over nad at last I can not only relax, but do some models for ‘me’ for a change.  I have to say I’ve really missed not doing sculpts for myself, so after a short break to recharge the old batteries I’ be back with some new models.

After working this hard for this long I’m starting to miss it already crazily enough….

Well finally a new Waynecast….although you can tell the last month of long hours (12 - 19 hours a day) are starting to take their toll on me physcially now. Good news is that I’ve not got long to go until I can rest. Boy do I need it!

In case any of you are wondering why, some of the free video tutorials from here at DashDotSlash that I’ve had on here for ages have now been removed.  It is because they no longer reflect how I work or the quality of it. I’ve however left some of the more popular ones for download for the time being although they too will be getting removed at some point soon before I upload some new free content.

As they get a massive amount of downloads every single week (and I have to admit that amazes me, as I truly thought it would have stopped or slowed by now…), I thought that it wasn’t a good idea to still have ancient tutorials active as examples of my work, quick tutorials or otherwise. So I hope you all understand why some have been removed and some others will be soon. I will upload some new ones as soon as I’m able to that beter reflect my current workflow and style.

I’m currently deep into a project so can’t share any of my new art other than the last 1 hour sketch I did. It’s not a ‘serious’ sculpt just something I did to relax a bit. I’ll have more news for you soon.
